Radiant looking skin is the hallmark of one’s youth. However, over time our facial movements create lines that result in shadows and give the appearance of aged, tired looking skin. Each year our skin loses elasticity and collagen which makes lines and wrinkles more noticeable. Gone are the days where anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers were used to freeze and fill lines to create an unnatural facade.
The advanced training and skill of our fully qualified cosmetic medical practitioner, Dr Peter Ryan and aesthetic nurse injector Melissa Fraser , ensures your treatment is the most advanced level of anatomical precision for a look that is youthful and natural.
At The Butterfly Effect we are committed to providing the best for our clients to achieve the results expected. Melissa Fraser focuses on anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, sweat reduction and platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments. With experience that comes from many years in the cosmetic medicine industry, Melissa Fraser strives to enhance the appearance without compromising the natural look.
Every client has unique requirements and so it is important that each treatment is tailored to the individual. A consultation takes place before any treatment to assess suitability for treatment and to address any concerns.
What Can I Expect?
Dr. Ryan and Melissa Fraser will review your medical history, listen to your concerns and tailor a treatment plan designed to achieve optimal results. The amount of anti wrinkle injection or dermal filler that you will require will be discussed and the cost of the treatment will depend on the number of areas required. We take confidentiality very seriously and you can be assured your visit will be with utmost discretion.
Anti Wrinkle Injections:
Anti-wrinkle injections help treat wrinkles that are caused by the continual contraction of facial muscles. They contain a special protein that when injected into a muscle, stops the muscle from contracting. This causes the muscle to relax and once that happens, your lines will become less and less noticeable. The treatment itself only takes about 15-20 minutes. Treatment should be individualized. In general men require higher doses because of a greater muscle mass. People with thicker skin may also require higher doses. That’s why it’s hard to give you an accurate estimate of how much it will cost without seeing you in person first. The action is not permanent, so depending on the patient it needs to be repeated every 3-4 months.
Face: Frown lines, Crow’s feet, Bunny lines, Forehead lines, Vertical lip lines, Brow shaping, Brow lift, Neck lines (Turkey neck), Neck lift, Hyperhydrosis, Jaw line, Nose reshaping, Gummy smiles
Dermal fillers are designed to fill in the wrinkles around your face. They can also be used to add volume to parts of your face, commonly people use dermal fillers to create fuller lips. Treatments tend to last between 6 months and 18 months, depending on a few factors such as the choice of filler.
Face: Hollows under the eyes, Crows feet, Brow lift, Cheeks, Fine and deep lines, Nose reshaping, Lips, Mouth lines, Chin, Jaw line
Body: Neck, Décolletage, Hydrating hands
Onset takes 24-72 hours after injection, with best results seen at two weeks. Some patients report mild bruising and tenderness, but most patients return to work immediately after the procedure.
Is It Painful?
Most patients are able to receive anti-wrinkle injections without topical anesthesia and report mild pricking pain. You may feel tender or experience slight swelling after the treatment. Topical anesthesia with ice or other agents may be beneficial to decrease pain associated with injections if requested.
After Care Treatment
A tailored after care regime will be designed by the doctor to ensure you have the best result from your treatment.
